This paper follows the development of the Prague German mathematical community, scientifically centred around Mathematical Institute of the Prague German University. We describe its staff, main research directions, and the cooperation with the German Technical University. We show that the flourishing of the community culminated in 1930s. The Nazi expansion gradually dispersed this predominantly Jewish community after the Munich Dictate in September 1938.
