Abstract

The paper focuses on scientific work of Josef Smolka, Czech historian of physical sciences and one of the founder of the journal History of Sciences and Technology. The first part summarizes Smolka’s partin professionalization of the historiography of science in the 1950’s and 1960’s Czechoslovakia. The second part presents his completed commented bibliography.
